From the East - December 2011

Brethren,

Eleven months ago, I was just beginning my journey as Master of our Lodge. And now, as that journey is about to come to an end, I cannot believe how fast it's gone by. It has certainly not been without its ups and downs, but I am honored to have been able to serve you. No one man can accomplish all that we do and I would especially like to thank my officers for their hard work and dedication in helping me accomplish my goals. I feel extremely confident leaving the lodge in their care knowing that they are extremely dedicated individuals.

To the Past Masters, who have acted as sounding boards, and have shared advice when asked, I thank you. Not only for the guidance you have provided me, but also for setting the standards by which Ansantawae is known. And, of course, I would be remiss if I didn't thank all of the members of the lodge for their help and support throughout the year.  Whether it was volunteering at CHIP events, helping cook or serve dinners, or taking part in the degrees, your efforts on behalf of the lodge are truly appreciated and did not go unnoticed.

And finally, I urge each of you to continue to learn about Masonry. Apply the lessons taught in our ritual to your daily lives, so that you may become better men. Your acts in the community are reflections on our fraternity. "You now stand as just and upright Masons, and I give it you strictly in charge, ever to walk and act as such."

Fraternally,

Christopher J. Buck

Worshipful Master
