From the East May 2011

Brethren,
Over the last few months, I have tried to shed some light on a couple of our working tools and how I have been able to apply them to bring the teachings of  Masonry into my daily life. In the hustle and bustle of our busy lives, it can often be difficult to translate what we are taught in lodge to what we do on a day to day basis. But this is one of the most important things we can do as Masons.

If we are to maintain the honor and reputation of our great fraternity, and convince the  world of its good effects, it is imperative that each of us live as just and upright Masons, not only in the confines of the lodge itself, but in our homes, at work, and in all of our  undertakings. I would like each of you to think about the things you do, and the decisions you make on a daily basis, and see if they may have been influenced by the things you've learned as a Mason.

The Lodge gives you plenty of opportunities to bring the good name of Masonry into the community. CT CHIP, DeMolay and  Rainbow, Masonicare are all great examples of this. But we all must do more on our own, and on behalf of Masonry, to truly propel this great institution forward.

Fraternally,
Christopher J. Buck
Worshipful Master
