From the East January 2011

Brethren,
I am truly honored that you have elected me as Master of this great lodge. I only hope that I can live up to your expectations. To those who came before me, I thank you for establishing the traditions and expectations that make Ansantawae the Lodge it is today.

To the brothers – thank you so much for the support you have given, and will continue to give, throughout my year as Master. As a portion of the DeMolay installation ceremony states, “the common burden can be borne by neither officer nor member alone”, and I truly believe that the brothers are the foundation of what makes this lodge great.

I would also like to congratulate WB Scott on a fantastic year. His time in the East has given all of us who will follow him a very large hat to fill!

We have an exciting year planned, with many great events. All of the traditional events, like our annual Strawberry Festival, Fellowcraft Picnic, Roll Call night, and Dinner Dance will be held as usual. We will also add some new events which I hope will also become traditions. We will have our first Annual “Scout Night” in May, and will invite all the Past State Master Councilors of Connecticut DeMolay to join us on May 6th to confer the Fellowcraft Degree.

As you all know, MW Bro. Charles Buck will still be Grand  Master through April, and we will be called upon to continue our support of him during the conclusion of his term.

Please check the website frequently, as we are constantly updating it with new articles and new features, such as the new “RSVP” function.

Thank you all again for the honor you have bestowed upon me, and I look forward to seeing you all throughout the year!

Fraternally,
Christopher J. Buck
Worshipful Master 2011
